Pool Administrators Inc. (PAI) entered into the new business area of Medicare prescription premium subsidy administration via the award of a state contract. The 30,000 Part D senior members of this program had to be transitioned seamlessly from the outgoing administrator. PAI was also required to build a complex custom eligibility system. Transition of members, development, testing and implementation of a complex custom system all had to be completed within three months.
